Chamber of Commerce
The Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce has over 700 active members. The Chamber works with the community to create a positive business environment, and works to keep the wonderful quality of life the Texas Hill Country has to offer. The Chamber sponsors many delightful programs, including:
- Night in Old Fredericksburg – Over 40 years old and held every year on the third weekend in July.
- Weihnachten in Fredericksburg – Held the first weekend of December each year, and includes a Christmas parade and festival.
Newspaper
The Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post is a 118-year old publication with a circulation of over 10,000. It is a consistent state and regional award winner.
Tourism and Visitor Information
Fredericksburg is legendary in Texas for being a tourist mecca for many tourism and visitor, activities; including trade days, walking art tours, Flavors of Fredericksburg, Hill Country Wine Lovers Trail, cowboy trail rides, Texas Gun and Knife Show, Admiral Nimitz Museum, LBJ Ranch, wildflower trails, part-mutual horse racing, Oktoberfest, etc.
Hill Country Memorial Health System
- Hill Country Memorial Hospital – a non-profit, non-tax-supported, 88-bed medical center serving an eight-county area centered in Fredericksburg.
- Hill Country Memorial Community Services – a regional outreach designed to meet an extensive range of community health care needs; including home care, hospice and specialty clinics.
- Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center – a state-of-the-art facility providing a range of health education, as well as land and water fitness programs.
