Over the years the town has grown to not only being a top tourist and retirement attraction, but is now a magnet for younger residents as well.
Fredericksburg houses antique shops, great restaurants,
a large
medical complex, art galleries, recreational venues and tourist attractions;
including LBJ Ranch, Nimitz
Museum and Hotel, Pioneer Museum
Complex, and Enchanted
Rock.
The town’s charm includes crisp, clear low-pollution skies, and moderate
temperatures
and humidity.
Hill Country Memorial Hospital is rated among the top 100 hospitals in the country, and Fredericksburg High School was named a Blue Ribbon school by the U.S. Dept. of Education. Austin Community College and Texas Tech University offer bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the area.
